MAI TAM ANNUAL REPORT 2016
This Annual report is dedicated to a special person in Arizona, USA who had the foresight to donate significantly to Mai Tam House of Hope in her will.
May this anonymous donor rest in peace and know the fruits of her good works!
Mai Tam House of Hope continues to make significant progress in improving the lives of the clients in its care.
HIGHLIGHTS:
In 2016, there were no deaths among the children or adults under the direct care of Mai Tam, i.e. live-in clients. There were no child deaths in the Community client population (mortality rate 0%).
Sadly, there were 3 adult deaths, of clients who live in the community and who are not under the direct care of the Center. It is suggested that a management analysis be undertaken and reported on possible steps to lower this mortality rate (3%).
Program Developments
From www.maitamhouseofhope.com, we can report a very good year for donations, collecting $63,779, boosted by a one-time donation from the estate of an anonymous donor, from Arizona, USA.
For year 2016, we dispersed $10,500 in mid-year through Hope for Tomorrow, our 501 c 3 registered charity. The end-of-year December donations of $62,883 were dispersed in January 2017. On that date, therefore, all donations from 2016 were sent to Mai Tam. (The $10,500 disbursement, noted above, reflects in part some funds which arrived late December 2015). As according to our mission, all funds received went directly to Mai Tam. Any fees or administrative costs are absorbed by our group; the exception is the PayPal fee which was some $77.00 this year.
We are most thankful for the anonymous donation of $50,648 which is truly a gift from God and a good person looking over the little ones of Mai Tam.

The financial situation at year's end is positive with donations exceeding expenses, which can now be used in 2017.
